L4W Discussion Thread III

Also, and this is for everyone who has recently made character submissions and not just Ecce and dimsdale, we have a lot of characters waiting for approval. I believe we're at 8 new characters and 6 level-up approvals at the moment, which is probably a record. The PHB2 torrent has begun ;)

We're working our way through them, but it does take time. Patience is and will be appreciated :) We haven't forgotten about any of you (I'm pretty sure, haha), and we'll be sure to have everyone approved before you get any XP rewards.

There's no need to wait for approval to start having fun, though. Feel free to go RP in the tavern, and you can even join an adventure if the DM is OK with having unapproved characters.

It's all good.

Set of questions, when ever I can I'd like to make my second character a retooling of a character I played once before, my favorite, since only one person here would know that I had already played this character I don't imagine it would be a big problem.

The question comes in that she grew up in a rather extreme place very unlike Duanton and the Shifting Seas. Perfect for a Far land, but I'm unclear if I have to propose a new far land and get it approved or if I can simply state the character is from there.

You can just state the character is from there - the only things you need to formally propose are things that could majorly affect the main setting or one of the established Far Lands. (For instance, if your new Far Land was full of demons just waiting to invade Daunton, that would need a proposal.)

Nope no demons, mostly just sand.

It'll be a while, she's a psion so waiting waiting waiting.

Wow, it's like they could read the forums or something :) It's almost as if they knew what we were talking about.

That proposal will definitely be revisited after the errata. Even Rage of Tempus has been changed...

Does the proposal have to be revised? Do errata have to undergo approval? I'd think they just automatically go into effect - perhaps along with a free revision for anybody who has one of the affected powers.

(Rage of Tempus was pretty obviously broken... I think the fix looks pretty good, the revised version is decent and worth taking for many characters, but it's not 20x better than every other Channel Divinity like before.)

(edit) Annnnd... I see Joe has made a nice proposal to deal with the situation.
