Where was that finally stated? I missed it.Since staff implements are officially two handed now, are we going to allow the exception that small characters can still use them?
Do we still want the waiting time for approved sources? I don't. The purpose of that was for community to playtest the material for brokenness. The CO board on the wizards site finds most of the broken stuff within a day or two. I go there regularly, so if anything raises a red flag I can bring it to attention. The approval thread would give us(or the COers) plenty of time to get that material.
I'm still a bit leery of such a short wait time. Yes, with digital distribution, things get dissected earlier, but WotC doesn't approve errata in anywhere near that time frame. The two reasons we had a delay were to 1) wait for folks to have it and 2) wait for folks to break it/fix it. DDI helps with both of those so... how about this for a proposal:I think we should still have a time limit on when things can be approved, but I agree that 3 months seems to be excessive. Especially here where we have such a dearth of Eberron material we'll want access to any new setting specific material ASAP. How about 2 weeks as a wait time? If the monkeys over at the WOTC boards (which I also read) can't ferret out a problem in that amount of time then the problem doesn't exist, and if one does exist our discussion is likely to take longer then that amount of time anyway.
Hardcover WotC == Designed, Developed, and Published by WotC. The Quintessential Books are Mongoose (correct?)Even though the quintessential books do actually have the approval and even a publisher credit on the inside from WoTC, Does that make them official WoTC hardcover products after all?
2 or 3? Gnome, shifter [both], warforged, drow, changling, gnoll, Shadar-kai, minotaur. Looks like 9 races to me so they've had problems with 1/9th of them to date. Now you may be right that they are holding off on the problematic ones, but other than kobolds, which ones would be an issue? What, the whole two other ones? Maybe three? It's not like they've updated a majority of the races by any count. Perhaps those other races haven't been done yet because they are being problematic in playtesting![]()
I've posted the now-approved sources material to the wiki. Before that can be closed, a couple notes of discussion:
* Should Reaper's Touch be shadar-kai only? Discussion here.
Yeah, I feel the some way. At least there is a dagger feat to let sorcerer use ranged in melee and a new warlock melee at will. Only the wizard really gets the short end of the stick.Personally I see no issue with it still.
