Converting Dark*Matter Creatures

Updated.

Good to hear, then.

Looking at d20 Dark*Matter for one of the few things it's good for, we can chalk down black warding and hellfire as Damage Reduction and a fireballish spell-like ability respectively, so I've jotted those down and the closest Modern spells to his FX-list. Any comments or suggestions on the caster level before we go on to the poison?

If it works like D&D caster level, I'd recommend 20 (like most D&D demon lords).
Only two prestige classes allow a d20 Modern character to get to caster level 20, but those are still examples...plus, monsters don't always play by the rules. :p

In other words, updated.

Moving on to the poison, we have two options...it could just be a simple Wisdom drain on a bite attack, or we could actually stat it out as a poison with primary and secondary forms of Wisdom damage in differing amounts. Or we could attempt to Rubik's cube out the original formula for some sort of supernatural ability based on the whole chart.

Why not Wis drain from the poison? We can have it both ways.

Since we bumped the HD, I think we really need to increase the AC. 20 isn't going to hack it.

Also, instead of fireball, want to do a unique Su ability with 1/2 fire and 1/2 unholy damage?

Alright then, how are these for a baseline? I took fireball as a main focus, then lowered the range in order to make up for the cone effect. Feel free to correct me on the meaning of unholy damage if I got it wrong (I've been mired in non-evil creatures for a while)

Poison (Ex?): Anyone bitten by Baal-phegor must make a Fortitude save (DC 30) or contract a horrid poison (initial damage 1d4 Wisdom, secondary 1d6 Wisdom).

Hellfire (Su): Three times per day, Baal-phegor may unleash a blaze of hellfire from his vicious maw. This is a 50-foot cone that deals 5d6 points of fire damage, as well as an additional 5d6 points of untyped damage to a creature with an allegiance to good. A successful Reflex save (DC 26) halves damage.

I think you'd just say unholy damage. Is it actually restricted to good creatures, I can't remember. But that looks fine to me.

Updated.

Well then, edited and emplaced within the fabric of the stat block. That appears to cover Baal-phegor's special qualities, save for one...binding. I propose this as our answer:

Subjugate Outsider (Su): Once a month, Baal-phegor can enslave an unwilling outsider as a full-round action. This works as per the subjugate outsider incantation.

------------------------

Also, my copy of Dark*Matter: Xenoforms came in, and it's in pristine condition. :D As soon as we finish Baal-phegor, I'm thinking we should stat a creature from it as a bit of a celebration.

Hmm, is subjugate outsider in the modern srd? If not, I propose writing out a unique version of it (that's what we usually do if we want to use non-core stuff).
