Aasimar?

Elodan

Since the Bestiary preview gave us the Tiefling, what changes do we think will be made for the Aasimar?

Generally I allow Aasimar and Tieflings are race choices for my campaign so personally, I'd love to get an Aasimar preview before October.

I like Aasimar and Tieflings too. They've been considered "core" in my campaigns for years now as well.

The tiefling was included in the preview specifically because it's used heavily in Pathfinder #25, the launch of the Council of Thieves AP. The preview was to allow players to make use of their class abilities (animal companions, familiars, mounts, etc) and to stat up monsters in the adventure so the DMs out there can run it immediately. I'm going to go out on a limb and say there won't be any aasimar before October.

I'll call that a safe bet.

That said, it would be pretty easy to build Aasimar as a sort of tiefling-opposite. Same would go for another planetouched race, Genasi - just replace good/evil bits with more element oriented stuff.

I'd like to say that I really like removal of LA (or optional replacement with level debt mechanic). That really does solve a lot of balance issues (since +1 LA means a lot to spellcaster).

regards,
Ruemere

I wish the Half-Janni were not as strong as they are...want one as a pc. How do the half Janni stack up in ya'll estimation to Drow?

They have better ability scores, but spell resistance is awefull nice
