At least I hope the rule isn't "all things pathfinder have to go in the one forum." That WOULD be unfair.

That would make my creation of a Pathfinder tag in General somewhat redundant!

Folks can put their Pathfinder stuff in General if they want. Personally, I think they'll be better off putting it in the new forum, but it's their choice if they think otherwise.

Now, a procedural question. Suppose a new thread in General RPG Discussion really belongs in a rules forum (for any edition, though I see one right now for 4e). How do we request that it be moved? Do we use the report post feature, which is supposed to be used "ONLY" for spam and rude, etc, posts? (The quote is from the report feature instructions.)

This is certainly a valid question and I've wondered about this issue several times.

The General forum is for 3E, 4E, PF, and everything else. If you want every edition to have its own general forum, that's one thing.

From your perspective, I want to remove the 4E posts. Nothing more. Everything else stays the same - you'll find not only PF threads, but Star Wars threads and AD&D threads too in "your" forum, just like you do now (or did before, as it were).

I completely agree the PF people are better off putting things into their new forum, because it's great having a forum of your own, not cluttered with posts concerning irrelevant game systems.

General RPG Discussion - Discussion of general issues of D&D 4th Edition. For rules and house rules, see specific forums in the "D&D 4th Edition Discussion" category below.
Other RPG Discussion - Feel free to discuss OD&D, AD&D, 3E, Pathfinder, or any other RPG here![/COLOR

Because most posts are 4E already?

No seriously, if you feel a need to rename the forum, go ahead.

My point is that the current organization both splits the 4E posters (into at least three separate forums; not subforums) and lumps them together with various other posts.

If I wanted only 4e discussion, I'd go to the wotc forum.

If I wanted an immature cacaphony contained in a overdesigned and hard-to-use package, I'd go there too...

However, I prefer ENWorld (hint: that's why we're having this discussion ). I'd prefer ENWorld even more if us 4E'ers could get a (set of) forums all for ourselves.

Just like the PF crowd just did!
