Ultimate Vampire Template

OK, that was a bit presumptuous. :)

However, I spent a few months developing this template as I was tired of vampires that were underpowered both in the physical and in terms of their abilities. I was inspired by a template I saw on Dicefreaks. While it possessed some great concepts, I felt it still embraced some of the core flaws of the standard 3.5 vampire.

My goal in this was to attempt to embrace as many aspects of the vampire from fantasy and mythology, either directly or by being able to explain an ability as being misrepresented. A good example of this was my elimination of flying from the vampire, but replacing it with a jump skill that the average peasant would view as flying.

Some core elements I kept from the Dicefreaks template was age categories and their use of salient abilities (which are basically overpowered feats).

Vampirism as a disease

One item I should point out.

There is always alot of conjecture as to what vampirism is. I took the vampirism as a viral agent route. I had a tough time making the viral agent concise, and it shows in the document.

The viral agent is Exstasia (latin for ecstasy/rapture/trance). It has two catalyzed forms. The first is Exstasia Renatus (which is detailed in another template of mine) and the second, which is detailed in this write-up, is Exstasia Mortalis.

Sadly, not going to have time to read this for a bit (really busy at work), but I wanted to mention the greater vampire templates in the CC. If you haven't seen them, I think you'd be interested.

Sample Primal Vampire

This is the big boss I will be using for my group. I thought it would be a good way to show how the template would work, especially for the higher end of it. Tadinanefer's goal is revenge for the destruction of Shaarat (ancient Sharn). Relatively long story, the short version is she wishes to level Sharn by amassing a huge undead army. Anyhow, I hope you like and please feel free to post feedback about what you like/dislike/find incorrect. Thanx!
