Character Template Bugs and Assistance

I'm finishing up my character now. But, I've taken it a different direction then I intended when I started, so I need to change my character's name. Is there a simple way to rename the template, or do I need to just copy it all into a new template with the correct name?

How can I contribute to the templates for L4E? I'm pretty handy with SQL, HTML and CSS so I figure I can learn mediawiki in short order if given a little push in the right direction.

Are we still working in the old wiki or are we ready to move to the new Vault wiki?

I'd really like to get into the guts of the wiki and spruce up the templates for things like secondary attacks, animal companions, etc.

Morrus is going to pull the plug on the old wiki at some point as he has repeatedly said. We will have to move to the new wiki (or offsite). Before we do that, we need to test/fix the ported templates to see if they work correctly.

Its less of a direct HTML/CSS port as one template system->another port.

I've been heading up the (1 man) effort over at LEB. No real coordination over on the L4W side. Best thing to do is start with an existing working character and move it over to the new wiki in the appropriate place and start seeing what works/doesn't.

OK. I'm working on an overhaul for my character right now anyways, so I'll just do it in the new wiki and see what I learn.

I created a new thread for the New Wiki Working Group for anyone that wants to jump in and contribute to working out details of the new vault wiki system and coordinating moving content from the current MediaWiki pages.

Having a problem with 'character power template'

Hi yeah; was going through the course of making a new character up for this fine site, but got lost when I got to making his list of Powers - been awhile and I cannot really remember what I did (i think I basically wrote my own code in on accident). finally found away to edit the sheet; but am unsure what the character power template is or what I do. awfully sorry.... anyways the character is PC: Rom (Ser Berus) on L4 wiki.

this thing (google spreadsheet) is driving me crazy. Neither letting the script run nor stopping it lets me adjust my saved copy which has absolutely no changes because I can't click into any of the text squares. The darn thing shouldn't be write-protected but its totally non-interactive for me.

Every 3 minutes the document blanks out. I have to refresh it and the script box keeps opening up. Its very frustrating and the computer center blocks all outside blogs or wikis that it recognizes as such even ones that are "legitimate" too the computer center use during the restricted job search time but still blocks them all outside that time too. ARRGGGGGH! Ive got such a headache.

IMHO we should adopt the LEB template ... it's just more easy to read.

Does anyone else have problems with the wiki pages showing different amounts of white space depending on if you're logged in or not? Trying to get the spacing in my background worked out to make it readable, but when I log in, lines that show up normally disappear. But if I format it for logged in users, it's really spread out when logged out.
