Interestingly, in all the folks who have been banned from EN World over the years, not one of them are at fault! It being inconceivable, of course, that they be in the wrong, the only possible reason for their banning must be because the mods "didn't like their opinion" or have a conspiratorial bias. The very possibility that they may have been being - for want of a better word - a jackass is utterly impossible.

I fully admit that on 2 of the 4 or so occassions that I took a 3 day time out it was because I was very conscious of the fact that I was 'out of line', was being deliberately and personally insulting, and would get deservedly banned. I just felt that on those occassions it was worth it, because as much as I deserved to be banned for what I was about to say, the person I was shouting at deserved to get shouted at. You get used to it. It's like taking a spanking from the school principle because the bully definately deserved to get punched in the face a few times. You accept the whole package when you make the decision.

The other two or so occassions I'm not going to comment on, because it would be a violation of the rules.

There have been a couple of times that on reflection I was waaayyy over the line into 'jackass' with no good cause, but oddly enough, I didn't get banned in those situations (and a couple of times didn't even get told to leave the thread). I figure those kinda things and the sort of things I can't talk about even out over time.

Everyone loves a good Edition War thread. Right? Yeah, I didn't think so.

I LOVE edition wars.

In fact, the official stomping on edition wars here was one of the main drivers in causing me to post more often at other places.

That's easy to fix. Have another option off the "Which Edition?" box which goes to "OD&D", which goes straight to a circle endpoint saying "Randomly proclaim OD&D is the one true game and all the other editions are just poor imitations of the real thing."

Er, not to split hairs or anything, but the One True Game is covered by the "3.x or Older" switch. As diaglo himself will tell you, OD&D is clearly Older than 3.x.

I was at fault for my three-day vacation, and I never claimed otherwise. (My problem with the ban -- or was it a suspension? -- wasn't that I got it ... it was that others didn't, for offenses at least as egregious. (And not nearly as funny.) That happens a lot around here. You either adjust to the bias -- as I have -- or you move on.)

I drew the chart in AutoCAD. It's pretty much the only vector graphics program worth using, ever.

Nuts, I have been looking for an easy to use flowchart program. (well, not really, I just saw what you created and thought, wow if only I had an easy to use flowchart program I could do some cool stuff.)
