I have been a psionic fanboy since 1E and I could not have imagined how well 4E would turn me off the whole power source. I jsut cringe when I hear of anything psionic these days.

As I said above, I think "philosopher" would work. Other possibilities, depending on how you want to "slant" the class:

Disciple
Contemplative
Sophist
Sage
Apostle
Adherent
Erudite

Possibly Divine with the Ki Focus ability?

I think this one would work better as a prestige class since the word means:
" A follower who has not yet obtained all he expects to get."

I was thinking that it might be Divine as well. I remember hearing that the Empath was our psionic leader, and we haven't heard anything about the Divine class(es) yet. Actually I can't really imagine what other niches are left for Divine...
