Well, we need to:
a) report back to Yurian
b) I want Martelai to return and burn those pirates and put KEEP OUT sign on the cave for future reference
c) shortly manage brain dead people
d) get XP
e) return to Daunton...

[sblock=ooc]God I hate flying.

Anyway, yes, the adventure is entering the "wrap-up" phase. If you're heading back to the cabin, here's what you find:

[sblock=cabin]It is much as you left it. The people are still securely bound, although there are clear signs that they attempted to free themselves from their bonds while you were away. But now they are calm and still. Their eyes are open, but they don't seem to be awake. They don't move, not even to react to your arrival.[/sblock][/sblock]

Ooc: being away from comp is sad... Anyway I see at least two possible minor skill challenge/quest options, reviving the townspeople or prepping them for the Igors. Veruzak's hope is to prep them but I'm sure Atlas is attempting the other.

Bell moves from person to person waving her hands in front of their faces, obviously disapointed with the results. She puts her crate down and looks from Veruzak to Atlas.

"Well we need to go town regardless. I'll carry you're share of the treasure Atlas so you can carry bodies. We should let the herbalist have a go if only to let the locals feel confident we tried everything."

There, that should satisfy everyone and keep me from being suspect.

At the cave:
Martelai wraps up one 'swarmling' corpse along with broodlords leg and put a notice on a plank, few steps within the cave, secured by a rock.

At the cabin:
Martelai leaves to Bell to check on the people, he checks both dogs and broodguard Kendrick captured earlier.

I don't think Atlas alone can carry everyone. Or, for that matter, Catein and Atlas together. Maybe we could improvise some kind of strecher or sled with this table?"

OOC: I think we have Rayn and two husks plus dogs and at least one spider-thingy alive.

[sblock=The spoils of war]There's Rayn, the woman you found in the cabin, three people and two dogs from the fight outside the cabin, and one of the smugglers from the cave. That's in addition to any of the specimens you want to take with you. So six people, two dogs, one spider thing, and I'm pretty sure Veruzak was collecting a bunch of the smaller critters in the cabin's cellar.[/sblock]

"Well it's only six people, two dogs, a spider. . . I'm beginning to see you're point." Bell thought on it for a while. It was easy for her to picture Atlas carrying six people and two dogs, but they probably wouldn't be comfortable.

"That may be too much for the table as well. We don't want to stack them. Still I think the table is a good idea. Perhaps two trips. Mr Atlas, Mr Kent and Catein shall take half of them into town, while we wait here. Then we shall all proceed with the rest."

Bell pulled a sheet from the bed, flipped the table over and began attaching it to the bottom.

"Meh, beasts may be stacked or wait here and three people on the table with you and me pulling it and Atlas and Catein carrying the rest. If our resident boss wizard doesn't have floating disc in his books somewhere?"

Martelai turns toward Veruzak with raised eyebrow

Veruzak finally comes out of the mental reverie he was enjoying at the focused attention from Martelai, Oh, hadn't realized I'd been needed. No no no, Didn't have the money to pick up the disk... I can carry my specimens in the cellar, two trips sounds ok, the immediate danger seems passed. Veruzak rewinds in his mind a little more before continuing, Great idea Bell! Local persons checking the bodies will be great for the towns moral, when they say "sorry there is nothing we can do", the IAC can offer to take the burden for the townsfolk, how considerate! I'm feeling dizzy... Veruzak slumps a bit, but keeps standing. Some rest is in order as well.
