iSlate/iPad/iTablet?

I sure am. It'll be a disappointment one way or the other, because a cheaper tablet will just be a large iTouch, and a Mac OS tablet will be plain expensive.
But bordering on excited for what it will show about the kind of devices and interfaces we'll be able to use to support RPG play; and the 'shared gaming' side where tablets can be passed around and gameplay dragged between tablets.
If they somehow manage to get within the price range and functionality of mid price netbooks I'll be well impressed. Though it'll still not be as good as this at 480p:

I am interested. But not really excited.
Not so sure, want to wait and see what it does. Then, I want to see what Microsoft may have (I liked the book format from a promo I saw).

I'll certainly be paying attention to it. Though the nature of the speculation and hype that has been brought to this event has now reached a level where it is unlikely that Apple can possibly meet the unbridled expectations of the public. Some disappointment is now inevitable.
For not saying anything, Apple find itself in the curious position of still being unlikely to meet the expectations of an Apple Gizmo obsessed public.

3G models will cost about £80 extra each and there's contracts to consider.
It's more impressive than I expected. An entry level of £310 for a group of RPG players sat around a table. Less and more convenient than portables.
A load of players will have WiFi in house, so there seems to be a genuine start point at £310. The iPhone OS is a bit of weep but it looks like Microsoft, Sony, Samsung, etc . . . will have to fight to better the price and specs.
