I kinda feel that the dystopian corporate future wouldn't be about physical territory like countries are, but demographics which override geography. It'll be about global marketing, propaganda, and influence, and the various demographics won't conveniently live in continent-size blocks next to each other. Yeah, this feels very Age of Colonialization, with different groups carving up the world. My understanding is that this version of Earth's map (with vaguer details) was worked out as far back as William Gibson's Alien III script, so having an outdated view of the world isn't a surprise to me.
It's not that it's an outdated view of the world--it's that the concept of corporate territory in 200 years will not be geography-based. Each corp will have varying levels of influence everywhere. The physical map simply won't be relevant.

No, I know that, but looking at the canon sources, Prodigy doesn't even get mentioned, but the Jùtóu Combine is. I was wondering why they change.
