Yes there are indeed 2 different passages you have not tried on the other side of the bridge.

The bridge is crumbling but can be crosses with care. (acrobatics or whatever else you think of.)

Grigo, with that 20 I'll let you use Tenser's floating disc to carry it's weight limit across the bridge as if there were ground beneath the disc.

Grigo reaches into his pack and pulls out a small glass lens, a candle with runes carved into the wax and some vials of colored powder. He lights the candle and wraps his sunrod in a cloth, plunging the room into near-darkness. He stares at the flame for a minute, then uncorks the vials.

He places the candle on the ground some distance from the wall and holds the lens in front of it, refracting the candlelight into a circle on the wall about six feet in diameter. Image made visible.

Holding the lens steady, he tosses some powder toward the glowing circle. The powder glows and begins to solidify, taking the shape of the circle. Image made tangible.

Grigo puts away the lens but the glowing circle remains, providing a dim orange light similar to the candle's. He walks over to the circle and carefully sprinkles the second powder over all parts of it. Each place the powder touches, the glow is extinguished, leaving a semitransparent disk that looks like it is made from a single piece of orange glass. As it becomes solid, it slides down the wall to take a position hovering slightly off the floor. Image made real.

The gnome steps back and looks at the disk. (Arcana: 16, 500 Lbs for 24 hours) Not the sturdiest disk I've ever made, but it should hold two humans or three elves, or most of my family. I think it will support Eithal's weight. It will float across the bridge without putting any weight on it.

One-Who-Waits looks at the disk admiringly. "This is a useful conjuration," he says. "This one's modest callings are insignificant by comparison. With the gracious magician's permission--" he nods at Grigo, and steps lightly onto the floating platform.

"Goodonya mate! Looks like it'll do right nicely. Can ya send it back and forth over this hole ta get all of us then?"

[sblock=ooc]Yimayngurr's still interested in determining the cause of the cave in once we get to the other side of the chasm. See above rolls.[/sblock]

Yes, but only over the bridge. It must float over a solid surface, however flimsy.

Assuming everyone is ready, Grigo will ferry them all across. The disk can travel 5 squares from Grigo, so for the last step they will have to tread lightly or jump. If anyone feels uncertain of their ability to do this, Grigo can also ride across with them; then it can go the whole distance. Once we are across, he will offer to let Eithal drop the nobleman's body on the disk to free up her arms for fighting. This disk will follow me around all day; feel free to pile baggage on it.

"Wayell hush mah mayouth. Ah ain' nevah seen an'theyin' lahk theyis." Eithal waits her turn and hands the body bag to Grigo, "Yew put theyis on thayt thingy of yowahs an' Ah'll pick it up when Ah git tah the othah sahd." With that, she hops on the disk and scoots across the bridge.[sblock=Jump]Athletics=1d20+11=18 (enough to jump 1 square)[/sblock]

One-Who-Waits rides across with Grigo.

OOC: I can just see One-Who-Waits's career ending ignominiously because of a failure to jump 5 feet. I'm not risking it :)
