The group moves through the water towards the welcome sign of civilization, having decided to look for an inn to clean up and get some rest. As you approach the settlement, a pair of half-orcs move towards you. The male looks suspiciously down on you with his beady eyes and says "Halt, who are youse? Why you come through Marches?" his serrated blades resting easily on his muscular shoulders.

This cracked me up.
Val doesn't actually say anything to the guards to assist with Diplomacy, he just stands there smiling and looking super cute (with muck all over him) to the female half-orc.
The rest of us shy back from the divine glow coming off of Val.

The half-orc smiles as she stares into the kalashtar's sky blue eyes, "I'm Keia." she says.
