D&D 3.5 LFM Players

Very interested. Would like to know the race limits and if you allow flurry and twf to stack. According to errata it does but not everyone agrees. Would love to play a misplaced critter race like a Thrikreen Monk with all the social drawbacks of being odd, monstrous and generally not accepted in society.

I understand a turn down on that request. It would serve as a great tank and melee killing machine. Flurry with Multi-Weapon Fighting give a lot of hits in a round. I created this as an arch villain in a past campaign but the party actually killed him and took his son. They "re-educated" the son and made him an ally. I would love to play the son as a character in a game.

I am also interested in your home brew classes if you can't use this in your game.

I think I'd have to agree with you. One monk in a group already is quite enough. ;) As for available races, I'm fairly open just as long as it's not above a CR2 adjustment, nor is it monstrous.

If you're willing to be an arcane caster, we currently have none, aside from my guy with Use Magic Device, some wands, and a coin toss's odds of making it work any given attempt. :)

Extra helpful would be if you could get Craft Wondrous Items and Craft Magic Arms and Armor feats, the game seems to be very low magic thus far.

Not sure how often Tsriel logs in here, but he's fairly active on the game's forum, if you can join it and post there.

You can find me on Skype as well. Username is the same as it is here on these boards.

Streamy is right, the group currently doesn't have an arcane representative so that is an option. The group just got into their first actual crawl so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

I would like to remind Streamy though that if Sully does step in and replace the dwarf paladin, the group will be essentially missing someone that can deflect and absorb alot of hits. (depending on what he rolls) The druid's animal companion can hold that role in the group, but that won't last forever unless the druid invests in keeping the companion prominent.

And yes, magic resources are somewhat low. The group got powered through to level 3 so they're a little lacking on magic gear. I expect that to change as they advance through some caverns.

True. But with decent magical items to boost AC, we do already have a monk who can kick ass and my character on the front lines. And the animal companion is a pretty good tank. Possibly better than the monk and myself. And while I know the Druid would never purposely sacrifice an animal companion or anything... They can just spend one day to summon a new one. It's far from the massive loss a dead Familiar, Paladin mount, or cohort presents. Just saying.

Also, summoning meat shields as an arcanist is a perfectly valid option if we do need extra support in melee (druid can do this, too, just not Spontaneously with that variant). In any case, it's up to Sully what he wants to make. Just saying, we could use an arcanist just as much if he'd rather do that.

I probably will play an arcanist. I am looking up books now and fiddling around. I am thinking a Planes specialist. Someone good at summoning, banishing, and travel... Did a similar build before but the campaign died too early. The way he was set up at level 13, I could banish 28 targets at the same time with a save of 44 on 2 and 40 on the other 26. This just really removed the threat of Outsiders all together. That was in Age of Worms where it was VERY useful! This time I might focus more on the Summoning and Travel aspects.

Sorry it took so long to reply. This thread was not behaving. Finely put it in linear mode and read the printable version. NOW it lets me reply to and read the whole post.

Just noticed this...just so you know, DM's been skeptical of how long the game will run to. It might go past level 10, but it's possible it may not, either. So don't build something around what it can do at level 13. :)

(My character doesn't start REALLY getting into his element until about level 10 according to my plans, so hopefully the game does last longer than that)

I was wondering if you are still looking for another player? I have never played 3.5, but have been told it is a lot of fun. I currently have a 4e game on Wednesdays and another 4e game that will be starting soon, except the time has yet to be decided. I would love to join you all and if you still need a tank I could make one, though it would be my first. Thanks for reading.
