What rule does your group ignore?

I was going over some of the powers and I realized how much I hate the at will powers that make you attack two foes (Dual Strike, Throw and Stab) instead of giving you a choice (Twin Strike). My GM told me to ignore that rule for my tempest fighter because he felt there was no reason why that limitation should be there other than Wizards of the Coast deeming that was too much damage for a fighter to do. Then they did the same thing for Throw and Stab and that barbarian power that I do not remember the name. I'm sure if it came up , my GM would ignore those limits as well.

What 4e rule does your group ignore and why?

My first long-term 4e campaign ignored the fact that commander's strike requires the warlord to be adjacent to the recipient.

This started as a misconception as to how commander's strike was supposed to work and kinda got grandfathered in since it was much cooler that way.

Now that there's a ranged option for it (in MP2), I'll correct that in the future.

Sometimes we ignore rules inadvertently.

* No one can ever seem to remember that when you're prone, you only grant CA for melee attacks.
* We often forget that in order to make OAs, you must be able to see your enemy. Lots of times we've allowed blinded characters to make OAs (at -5 attack).
* No one can ever remember how the rules for jumping (part of Climb skill) work, so we always have to look those up. I wish they'd just give you a table of jump DCs for common situations, like jumping over a 2-square pit with/without a running start.

Milestones. We just use action points as an encounter "power." You have one, period, and it comes back after a short rest (if you used it). No fuss, no muss.
The group I game for has this houserule.

Several of my houserules rewrite things I don't like, so it's hard to pinpoint a rule I ignore. But one would be that you can only retrain 1 thing when you level. If you don't like something, you don't LIKE it, you shouldn't be forced to stick with it. Change it after an encounter. Just don't go crazy swapping things in and out constantly.

Let's see... The need to juggle implement/weapons. I just declared that everyone works the way a swordmage does: your weapon works as an implement. The end.

Hybrid classes can take Hybrid Talent as frequently as they like.
