D&D 4E 4E Miniatures

Hawkeye

First Post
Since all of my 4E gaming has been PBP, I haven't been keeping up with the state of 4E miniatures. My old gaming group is getting back together to play and I am going to be DMing. I know that WOTC had been putting them out, but they have been treating them like Magic cards with booster packs etc... What is a good source for miniatures?

The 4Ed plastic minis?

Probably a clearance bin! I know several of my local stores are starting to discount them deeply if not outright dump them.

Plastic ones would be nice since I don't have the time to paint up minis anymore, but metal ones wouldn't be out of the question.

Well, I don't buy too many minis online, so I'd look in my FLGS first. If you edit your thread title (by using the "Go Advanced" mode when editing your initial post) to something like "Good Online Mini Sellers", you'd probably get a LOT of quality advice- there are many posters here who get their minis online exclusively.

Either works for me. I'm not against buying things online. I've joined the 21st century, though I might check a couple of local stores tomorrow if I have the time. Thanks for the help.

I have a store in Sydney that sells them as low as 50cents, which is great as before that I was limited to PHB minis.

You need a good supplier.

If you're looking for particular brands, besides some of the various plastic minis (DDM, WizKidz, etc.), I buy FRPG metal minis from (some of which may be no longer in production or may be owned by other companies:

Reaper
Rackham
Iron Wind
Crocodile Games
I-Kore
Grenadier
Heritage
Ral Partha
Larry Elmore

AHA! While trying to remember some brands, I happened upon a list of brands...carried by a company that, as I recall, has a good rep: Noble Knight Games.

I live in Victoria and Games Empire a re very good with shipping, and reasonably priced.

I have also bought from Reaper and their selection is good and they ship with in a week(also free shipping if you buy figures worth in total more than $50AUD)

Most of the local stores are pretty expensive, and they don't stock the older 8 pack booster, just the 5 pack new ones, which IMHO are too expensive per mini.
