This is very possibly the most disgusting thread ever posted at ENWorld!

Congratulations! :D

Okay, see I read this, but no XP? Where is the love? Where is my payment in preeecious Meconium?

Re: Congrats: thank you. I've already started her on Robert E. Howard stories at bedtime (which for a newborn is all the time); we've gotten through the Kull: Exile of Atlantis anthology, and Worms of the Earth, and Pigeons from Hell. Just started going through the Conan stories in publication order (the pheonix on the sword, and now into The Frost Giant's Daughter).
Her mother copped out and started reading her Winnie ther Pooh, so I countered by starting that goriest of books "the Bible". Actually, she stopped fussing at Luke, which was nice. I have a good reading voice, I'm told (my sister liked it when I read her "the color out of Space" and "the Call of Cthulhu"). I should really record this stuff and sell it as books on tape!

Hella_tellah: Oooh, puppies! But baby poop isn't gross, it's cute!

Aeolius: Vernix and Lanugo! I love those guys! Class/race/level? In fact, if they aren't in D&D, they should be in Asterix comics!

Congrats!

As a universal principle, Cosmic Meconium actually sounds plausible: it is the remnant of whatever process that brought the Universe into being. It is a material greatly sought after by mages and alchemists, for it brings immense primal power to the posessor.

It is nonetheless a little a icky.

Funny you should mention that:

Wikipedia
The Greek name for the Milky way (Γαλαξίας Galaxias) is derived from the word for milk (γάλα, gala). One legend explains how the Milky Way was created by Heracles when he was a baby.[2] His father, Zeus, was fond of his son, who was born of the mortal woman Alcmene. He decided to let the infant Heracles suckle on his divine wife Hera's milk when she was asleep, an act which would endow the baby with godlike qualities. When Hera woke up and realized that she was breastfeeding an unknown infant, she pushed him away and the spurting milk became the Milky Way.
A story told by the Roman Hyginus in the Poeticon astronomicon (ultimately based on Greek myth) says that the milk came from the goddess Ops (Greek Rhea), the wife of Saturn (Greek Cronus). Saturn swallowed his children to ensure his position as head of the Pantheon and sky god, and so Ops conceived a plan to save her newborn son Jupiter (Greek Zeus): She wrapped a stone in infant's clothes and gave it to Saturn to swallow. Saturn asked her to nurse the child once more before he swallowed it, and the milk that spurted when she pressed her nipple against the rock eventually became the Milky Way.[5]
(Yeah, I know meconium comes from the other end...I'm just sayin' that organic ejecta has had many a legend attached to it.)

But honestly, if its going to be rare & mystical, again i say Dragonborn, Shardmind or Warforged only...given their "alien-ness."
