Community Supporter Options?

I've been hanging around this site for quite a while and (finally) have the cash to be a community supporter. Of course, then I found out that the only way to be a supporter is to use PayPal.

Has there been any consideration into other methods of supporting ENWorld? After an... incident a few years ago that required minor legal action on my part, I refuse to do business with PayPal again. I know most people never have a single bit of trouble with them, but I guess I'm the lucky one.

So is there any chance of an option to pay via another method? Check, money order, Credit Card, that kind of thing? I have no idea what the costs to support another payment method might be or how tough it would be to organize, but I figured it was worth asking.

There's no other cost-effective way to do it at present, unfortunately. Setting up EN World's own credit card processing system would be both expensive and heaps a lot of liability directly onto me; and USD cheques for the amounts involved are pretty much worthless after I take into account the processing fees for a foreign cheque, along with the month or so it takes to process a US cheque (goodness knows why it takes so long). Plus that would require me to manually process subscriptions, which would simply take too much time.

I used Amazon to take donations for my site for a while. Worked well. Don't remember what they charged, but it wasn't bad.

Presumably Google Checkout could be used as well.

Amazon doesn't handle automated subscriptions; and the Google subscriptions API is currently only in Beta.

Wolff, do you have any friends who post here who don't have your PayPal qualms? Maybe cut them a check once a year for, what is it now, $36?
