In Search Of a 'Modern Fantasy Revised Earth' setting

I'm searching for a very specific type of campaign setting which I'm hoping someone can point me to. I seem to remember Savage Worlds once had a campaign setting like this, but I couldn't find it on their web site.

Basically, I want to play in, what I am calling, a Modern Fantasy Revised Earth setting. I would like magic to exist, but simultaneously with modern weapons, and I would like it to be a "revised earth" type setting (like Deadlands, but in modern days) ,where the earth was on its regular course, but then was changed somehow to introduce the new fantastical elements into play, and then history diverged somewhat from there. Does anyone know of a setting like this that I can look into?

I don't want to write a complete setting, but if I can find something that I can manipulate around a bit and make work, that would be great. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,

The easiest thing to do would probably be to take a look at Shadowrun because that is for all intents and purposes near future with magic and fantasy.

That would be Deadlands: Hell On Earth. Of course, the revision is some ways back in that setting, so while the tech is there, the situation is.. well, Hell On Earth.

Shadowrun is the other classic example of an alternate near-future with magic.

The original RIFTS handbook setting had something like this (cover has monster on floating barge with three hot chicks manning the guns). I think you can buy this PDF online or even a hardcopy for under $20. I haven't read the newer editions or any of the supplements.

There was one for the Amazing Engine game, I think it was called Magitech? There was also one called For Faerie and Country, but I know little about it.

The former was sort of revived as Urban Arcana for Modern d20.

I think this is what you are looking for - its for SW, but it is not by Pinnacle. I love the setup and premise.

Atomic Overmind Press » The Day After Ragnarok: A Savage Setting

Basically the Germans awake Ragnarök at the end of WWII. Truman nukes it (go Nukes!). The world is a mess, magic is back, and you still get to shoot Nazis, Japs, and Communists. Its coooooool.

That setting almost sounds perfect to do Thuundar the Barbarian...

It could do that (heck, I think someone may have posted some conversion ideas on PEG's site as well). But I find the key issue with Savage Worlds is "too many cool ideas, too little time."

Holy crap, that sounds like it exactly! Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions, Shadowrun definitely sounds like it would work, but I'm looking for something that already has the modern 'revised history' of earth written for me (I'm lazy?). Again, thanks everyone, I'm going to check this Atomic Overmind out.
