Ran campaigns in both within the last five years. Was getting sick of 3e when 4e came out, and now I'm kind of getting sick of 4e. I'm slowly coming to the realization of just what my game needs, so hopefully Dark Sun will help fix things (we have a lot of house rules we're throwing in).

Ideally, I want a game that has 4e style rules, but is roughly presented in a 2e manner.

Neither. The only gaming I've been able to do in the last five years has been a few 4e one-shots.

I ran 3.5 until the 4e core came out.
I ran 4e until (roughly) the Eberron Campaign Guide came out.
I went back to 3.5 until the Pathfinder books came out.
I've run Pathfinder ever since.

Without rehashing my litany of complaints, I found 4e not to my liking and no one in my group will play it.

I voted both but haven't run 3.x since 4E came out. I don't see me going back but I could be wrong as hopefully I have a lot of gaming years left!
