How do I get more low level spell slots?

There can also be specific spells for that, too. For example, Triadspell in SpC is a level 5 cleric spell that lets you prepare an extra 3 spells of 3rd level or lower (so you trade a 5th level spell for 3 3rd level ones, basically).

Well, sadly neither of those options will help my purpose. My hope was to take 3 levels of Cleric and one of PrC Paladin in order to be able to cast Blade of Blood and Divine Sacrifice on a mostly Crusader build (from advice suggested here. I was hoping to avoid the wastefulness of 1st level spells in 2nd level slots, I guess I'll just metamagic them. Thank you for the help anyway.

Have you considered just dipping duskblade? They get blade of blood and have an obscene amount of spell slots per spell level.

EDIT: Or just secure enough spell slots to get you through 1 combat for blade of blood, then buy a crapload of 1000 gp level 1 Pearls of Power to recover your spells between fights.

Next closest thing would be if the GM allowed a Divine caster variant of the ring if wizardry

Though the pearl is probably the better deal since it takes up no slots and you can keep purchasing them as the need and available cash increases.

Actually, there's a feat in Lost Empires of Faerûn which does exactly what you want. It's called Arcane Manipulation.

It lets you split up a slot into as many lower level slots as you want, provided their sum totals up to the slot used. For example, a 5th level slot could be split into 5 1st level slots, 1 2nd and one 3rd level slot, 1 2nd and 3 1st level slots, 1 4th and one 1st level slots... however you want. Only works on 3 spell slots in total, although you can turn these three into as many lower level ones as you want.

As written, it only affects Wizard spells. But there's really no reason why that should be so - talk to your DM! He should really be letting this fly, as it's not overpowering or unbalanced at all.

I could work with this, thank you.
