Madness at Gardmore Abbey a Dungeons & Dragons Adventure boxed set by James Wyatt, Steve Townshend, Creighton Broadhurst

This deluxe adventure takes heroes into the ruins of Gardmore Abbey, once the base of a militant order of paladins devoted to Bahamut. What the legends don't tell is that this artifact is the deck of Many Things..
This adventure brings characters into the extensive dungeons beneath the ruins - dungeons that are warped and twisted with the raw froces of Chaos surrounding the cards of the deck, forces that dramatically alter the place with each successive visit.

  • Two double-sided battle maps depicting dramatic locations in the adventure

Player's Option: Heroes of the Feywild a D&D Supplement by Rodney Thompson and Steve Townshend

Player's Option: Heroes of the Feywild enables players to weave elements of the Feywild into their existing and future characters, in much the same way that Player's Option: Heroes of Shadow gave players reasons to explore their characters' dark connections to the Shadowfell.

This book contains exciting new character builds and options that are thematically rooted to the Feywild, a wild and verdent plane of arcane splendor, full of dangerous and whimsical creatures. Characters who trace their origins or backgrounds to the Feywild gain access to unique feats, powers, and mechanics. The book explores what makes fey-themed characters so fun and distinct.

I gotta say, after a good 10 years of buying into the anti-Drizzt propaganda, I think I would really love a chance to get this board game, round up a group of friends, and play as Drizzt and company for a night.

So if the cost of plastic and that was a determining factor in the demise of DDM, how come they're still doing the Axis & Allies minis?

Thanks for posting up this info.

These Fall 2011 4E D&D titles listed seem kinda "meh". Another boring Fall release schedule to look forward to, just like Fall 2010.

The only title which I may have some remote interest in, is the "Book of Vile Darkness". Hopefully it will be a better treatment than the 3E/3.5E version of the same title.

The only other 2011 4E title I have some remote or vague interest in, is the "Neverwinter Campaign Setting".

To come to think of it, the only 2011 4E titles I have any vague interest in, are media tie ins: Neverwinter video game and the Book of Vile Darkness movie. :-S

Hmm, I wonder if this going to be a folio or a box? :hmm:

So if the cost of plastic and that was a determining factor in the demise of DDM, how come they're still doing the Axis & Allies minis?

No, it was cost of plastic + sales. As the prices for DDM increased, sales decreased. Clearly Axis & Allis minis have been selling better. I doubt Wizards would continue to produce them if they haven't maintained profitability.
