Seriously. There is no RPG product so old, creaky, and flat-out stupid it cannot provide some level of inspiration. If I could, I would own one of everything, try to read them all, play as many as I could.

I have to agree - even the Triumvirate of Evil (the three games mentioned) are inspiring -- they're inspiring for what NOT to do. :)

Thank you for posting that link- I wouldn't want any racist gamers to be able to claim that I was too stupid to properly abbreviate their game's name...especially once I was reminded of the fact.:)

You're joking! Really?? That's fantastic.

Man, I'd completely forgotten about the horror that is World of Synnibar.

SILENCE! Or do you wish me to fetch yet a third gladius?!

So..... Where can I get these fine games??????

People on the web hate my game of choice, and I love it so logically if people hate these games, they must be just as good.

Or am I failing logic 101?

No! Not Spawn of Fashan?! Where else can I find adventure in the Lands of Boosboodle?

The Auld Grump, still jealous of those lucky few who have garnered this rare gem....

Spawn of Fashan is worth it just for the name Boosboodle. The fact that it's impossible to tell what the author was going for, up to and including how serious it was intended to be, makes it a true classic. I wish I had a copy.

Man, I'd completely forgotten about the horror that is World of Synnibar.

Playable! And actually sort of inspirational. Giant Mutant Fire Clams, Golden Tiger Mages,... for all that it is a really bad game, I assure you, it's an entertaining read, at least once in a lifetime. And reading something like that untethers the mind... I don't necessarily endorse giant mutant fire flams, but wouldn't it really be better to be the author of Synnibar than another Tolkien-clone? Synnibar qualifies as out-and-out kitsch.
