Pathfinder 1E LPJ Design’s Secret Pathfinder Project Announcement coming Friday

I bought a fair number of Louis Porter's pdf files (30 or so) a while back, mostly because I was buying Pathfinder-compatible pdfs from lots of third-party publishers to show support for the Pathfinder system.

I really wasn't particularly impressed with any of his work, and most of the titles were padded with counters and things like that just to increase the page count. Very poorly done, in my opinion.

Without commenting on whether or not anyone should be offended by Mr. Porter's prank, I will say that people who have waited years for Razor Coast to be released would probably have been disappointed if it had been released by Louis Porter. After all, they've been holding out for something extraordinary, and Porter has only ever managed to publish utter rubbish. It would have been a major letdown, if it had turned out to be true.

I can inderstand people not being offended, especially if they're not directly affected by it, even if I don't agree with them (or them with me), but to laugh at people's misfortune and regard that as perfect? I mean, seriously, was there any need for that? Do you even know how rude and infantile that is? I'm assuming not, since you probably don't have the emotional maturity to work it out.

Emotional maturity? Not to put too fine a point on it, but I'm not the one gnashing my teeth about getting punk'd on April Fools Day.

When I first heard about it I thought it was real. I wasn't until i seen someone else point out the date that I realized it likely wasn't real. The main reason I thought it might be real is everyone knows he was trying to acquire it.

Now even as someone that believed it at first(not noticing the date) and someone that preordered RC. I am not mad at Louis about it, nor am I upset. But I do think it was a jest in poor taste. Had he not set it up before April Fools day I think would have been better. Just come on make a big announcement there is something big coming later the same day.

*shrug* either way I am not upset, mildly disapointed the product is still not out is all. I do think some people are taking it to personal though. But each to their own.

Out of curiousity, who here believes that LPJG's target audience was Nick? (oh hey, side question, how often has Nick visited any online site?)

What about those people who are owed money/product by Nick?

That's why this was idiotic, IMO.

No, you're just gleefully revelling in it, which is incredibly immature and slightly disturbing.

Anyway, as pointed out above, there's a place on these forums for people like you, and it's called the ignore list. At least one misfortune I won't be suffering from in future is having to listen to your immature twaddle.

The thing that has surprised me most about all of this is the sheer mean-spiritedness and cycism of a minority of small-minded people here. I shouldn't be surprised really, but there you go. In any community, there's always detritus.

So in the spirit of actively not wanting to be like those people, I'll take your apology and thank you for it.

I'll now move on and take my leave of this thread.
