Need help with Military stuff

I'm not sure what Chemical Reconnaissance is, but I'm assuming that Chemical Defense is what we would call Chem Warfare Training in the Air Force. It's the basic level of training that every military member in every branch of the military recieves. It teaches the following:

Target on Chem Defense. Chemical Reconnaissance covers the skills necessary for the certifiable crazies whose job it is to go into contaminated areas, discover what type of event and contaminants are being employed, then map the area so that you can find a way around without getting all of your forces slimed.

Good recon troops (using the Fox NBCRV, to be replaced by the Stryker NBC RV) are pretty handy if you don't want to make everyone miserable. And dead.

Hey, since this is a thread about military stuff, let me ask one question about U.S. army:
Is it possible for a U.S. ranger to hold the rank of private? Not PFC, but private (PVT or PV2). What I've checked, all rangers seem to have at least PFC-rank.

I'm not from U.S.A., so I really don't know... Google and Wiki give me nothing.

Yes. A Ranger does not have to attend Ranger School (and earn the tab) to be part of the Regiment. Most of the line dogs do not have tabs -- they go through Infantry OSUT, Airborne, then RIP/ROP and join the Regiment (20 weeks total training, not counting leave and travel).

By time in grade, they are typically promoted by then (to PV2, assuming they came in as an E1), but minor disciplinary events happen ... major ones find you back in the line infantry.

Military Occupational Specialties (MOS)
Choose an MOS for advanced training after Basic. You can use these to fill in misc feats from the basic packages or spend them as you level up. Most people stay with a certain MOS their whole careers but some of these, such as the various Terrain schools can be taken one after another. Look to your MOS to figure out what your Primary skills should be.

A bit. We'd normally use safetywire and speed tape.;)
thought so. Shoulda seen what some of the guys talked about from Vietnam : russian sams and aams stuck through tails and wings-unexploded. Then hear what they had to do to fix it.

I believe the question of the poster was Rangers (ie tabbed not just assigned.) But yeah, most of the Regiment Ruffians are non tabbed Soldiers.

So does this look good so far?

The closest thing to a computer I handled in Basic was a PRC 77 Radio - which is like calling a a rock a hand grenade. Also driving was not a basic skill taught to recruits - our primary mode of transportation was provided by rubber meeting the road in sync to cadence. Other than that - you've done a beautiful job.
