Diseases - where can I find them?

I have a bunch of the 4E books, and have come across several diseases in sidebars and random places. I have seen one or two that I like, but for the life of me I can't find them now. Is there a central location where I can look up various diseases by level?

Also, if I found a good one of the wrong level, are there guidelines for changing the level up or down to fit my party?

This is an area of constant frustration for me. Diseases are not in the Compendium online, and they're spread throughout various books, as you said. I believe the Dungeon Master Guides have most of them.

I created a custom disease at one point, and it was strange for me to see how little support is out there for D&D4e diseases right now.

If you want to change the level of the disease, you'll want to change the Endurance DCs to get better or worse by 1 point for every 2 levels that you change it. Beyond that, it's a "feel" thing since most diseases don't deal damage or do anything that's clearly intended to scale with level.

Diseases are in fact in the Compendium. You can set the category to "Disease" and if you search without entering anything, it'll bring up a number of them.

Most diseases are boring, though.

But before anyone thinks they are going crazy for not thinking Diseases are in the Compendium... they only were added a month ago. Prior to that, that wasn't why the Compendium exists. ;)

There are still a number of other notable absences, but they seem to be filling them in over time, and Diseases were definitely a big one. Even if you don't have a DDI account, using the compendium to simply list all diseases will show you most sources.

Thank God - I thought I was going nuts here! I haven't looked for diseases since a few months back; I'm glad to hear they've been added at last.
