"Elminster's archenemy, the vampiric Lord Manshoon, thinks he has destroyed Elminster at last. But Elminster survives in the form of magical ash..."

oh for crying out loud.

Is the ash floating around like a cloud? Or is Elminster kept in a cremation jar? I guess I'll have to read the book to find out... or not. :erm:

Yeah, I strongly suspect that I only care enough to mock this book.

Jesus Mary Sue Christ, what will it take to get rid of the biggest DMPC in D&D's history?

A Wicked Kendragon
Interview: Ed Greenwood & Elminster Del Rey and Spectra - Science Fiction and Fantasy Books, Graphic Novels, and More

SS: With Bury Elminster Deep coming out next year, how many books do you foresee in this set?

EG: Six and three.
That is, like Bob, I have a contract for six books (Drizzt books for him, mine involving Elminster).

Yeah, I don't think Elminster will die in this book. There's five more books after this one.

Edit: wait, that might mean 3 more books. Hmm, wonky math at work here.
