"Him" selects Ability Focus. ;)

Updated.

The flavor text seems to indicate some degree of parley, so Diplomacy and Sense Motive might be appropriate.

For the skills, how about...

Appraise 18, Diplomacy 18, Knowledge (history) 18, Knowledge (religion) 18, Knowledge (the planes) 18, Search 18, Sense Motive 18, Spot 18, Tumble 18

...with a note in the Spelljammer Underbar that they replace Knowledge (the planes) with Knowledge (space) in that setting?

Those skills are good.

We've still got Xs in treasure and alignment.

Updated.

I changed Alertness to Skill Focus (Spot), since we decided early Listen would be a poor skill choice in space.

I agree with no treasure.

Challenge Rating: x

Alignment: x

These don't really seem like they'd have treasure, do they? The original has treasure nil.

Yes, I was thinking they oughtn't to have treasure too.

Apart from that following the original, they'd burn up anything they owned.

Similarly, shall we make them Chaotic Neutral like the original?

I still prefer Lawful, to tell you the truth, since they're "completely incapable of altering the basic beliefs that I imprinted upon them at their creation." Furthermore, they have a pretty rigid way of dealing with others:

Blazozoids usually ignore passing spelljammer ships unless bothered in some way. However, blazozoids do approach ships when they want one of two things: either a ride through the phlogiston or a meal. If the party refuses to give the blazozoid a ride, or if it is searching for a meal, it attacks.

Aside from that, there's also nothing that really says "chaotic" about them at all. In fact, they read almost programmed in their behavior.

So I could settle for true neutral to avoid a long argument, but CN sound like the original designers just made a mistake. The only way they'd make sense as CN is if there's something in the description of "I" that clearly sounds chaotic.

I'm in favor of true neutral barring strong reasoning from "I" as well.
