Help me convince my DM that monks aren't broken

Better still with no levels of Monk. Just make a straight cleric and say he comes from a monastery.

One level gets you Wisdom bonus to AC that applies to touch attacks and flatfooted, Flurry of Blows, and two feats, all for a one level hit to your spellcasting (level 18 instead of 17 to get to level 9).

With a melee oriented Cleric, it isn't a bad option.

Yes, but the Monk can just get a set of robes and enchant them like any armor - coupled with other iterative armor bonuses, and with the Cleric pumping his Wisdom the Monk/Cleric will have as high of an AC as a Cleric wearing armor, except better against touch attacks.

Over 20 levels of play with full Shiba Protector progression? 5 class levels.

But compared to 20 levels of monk?

One level of Monk.

Also, I'm not exactly sure how Shiba Protector is really helping a Cleric.
No Thought is nice, don't get me wrong (I'd take a level dip for it for a Cleric or a Monk), but the rest of his abilities are not that impressive.

1. I am curious; where is this stated?
2. The cleric could just get a Monk's belt and have all of the awesome with none of the suck.
