PAX Prime - Roll Call

So who is going to PAX Prime in Seattle next week?

What are your plans? What are you playing? Who are you meeting up with?

I'll be there at least Friday and Saturday. Going to check out Halo Fest, play some of the new video game demos (Borderlands 2), see lot's of friends and hopefully play at least one game of D&D.

I'll be there, bringing 3/5ths of my D&D players with me, all for their first time. We're all pumped to see the Acquisitions Inc. game, and I'm hoping to check out some of the D&D organized play stuff while there. Other than that: Skyrim, some indie titles, anything music/rhythm-based, and whatever else catches my eye. Oh, and maybe a game of MtG or two. I was at PAX East last year and the WotC D&D guys had a get-together at the nearby bowling alley that they invited their Twitter followers to. Definitely my single favorite PAX experience to date.

The Acquisitions Inc line will be REALLY LONG so start queuing early, or better yet have the your players "win" the opportunity to sit in line for the rest of the party bast on something fun like worst attack roll, lowest initiative, friendly fire, etc

We'll be in line as soon as it's available. I figured it'd probably be ridiculously well-attended.

And I think we'll all be content to chill in the line and play Magic or criticize cosplayers.

I will be there pretty much the whole time, helping to run the Pathfinder demos and Pathfinder Society games in the Paizo room. I've also got a GMing seminar at noon on Friday. I hope to get a chance to wander the exhibit hall and play a few game demos, but that will have a lot to do with how well covered we are for judges at our OP area.

Paizo has not been to PAX in an official capacity for many years, so it's going to be interesting being there in a business capacity instead of a "wow, neat videogame" capacity.

I'm looking forward to it.

I hear SRM will be there too so I will keep an eye out for the both of you in the gaming area. What Pathfinder events are you running?

Wow, this is the first I've heard that you guys will be there as a company. Awesome. I haven't had the chance to stop by a Paizo booth/room since...Gen Con So Cal.

I'm going to PAX, with most of my friends. I'm pretty excited and I'm looking forward to Halofest particularly. Last time I played the D&D Castle Ravenloft board game for a bit but I never actually got to play a pnp rpg game there since I was busy seeing the various booths and demos and such.

This year I'm hoping to spend a day playing a nice pnp rpg session having some fun. the other 2 days I'm doing the demo and video game things :-)

It's looking like we're pretty good for judges, so I may not be running anything. We're just dipping our toe back into the PAX pool this year, so we've got a very modest room with only 8 tables. Three of those will be running traditional 4-5-hour Pathfinder Society scenarios, while the other five will be running 1-hour demo games. We have five different demos, each set in a different part of our world and involving different challenges, and the whole thing will be tied to a sort of prize treasure chest people can try to open with keys they get for playing the demos. It's basically a much, much, much smaller version of what we had at Gen Con. I figure we will either be insanely busy the whole time, or will have to stand out in the hallway flagging people down and begging them to play our game. :)

Here's hoping for the former. I'll see about stopping by at some point and saying hi. Are you guys going to have a booth in the main hall, or is it just the play room?
