How to leave a group. Read before posting.

Hopefully the OP isn't yanking our chains

I actually hope he is yanking our chains. To imagine a dad punishing a kid for what happened in his D&D game is insane. And for a father figure to throw a tantrum directed towards his sons when it is related to something like a D&D game is also really strange. I hope that isn't really happening. :-S

The OP tells this story as if it was like any other group with a problem player. Yet this is his dad.

Asking us how to leave a group because your dad is a problem player is a pretty weird thing to be asking us. To then tell us that he punished you for what happened in-game sounds like nothing more than the OP giving himself a good laugh at our expense.

I know adult gamers can act like children, but the child in this story sounds way more mature than his own father. I don't buy it.

Good point. If it's a joke, he can win his trolling prize.

A crappy joke is better than adding a crappy dad to the roster.

A father punishing a kid because he's upset about what happened while he played D&D is pretty serious. This isn't just some problem player being annoying, this is his dad. The way the OP is telling this story throws up all kinds of red flags to me. I could be wrong, but there is no harm in questioning the honesty with this particular story.

You must have great parents. My mother in law doesn't play D&D, but if she did... I can see this and worse. :p
