Spelljammer Converting Spelljammer creatures

So we're OK with some kind of "Immunity To Physical Attacks" special ability.

I'm OK with it.

Presumably the "miss chance" you are talking about is the chance-per-round of spotting the Misi's "scintillating form". The original used an Int-check rather than a flat percentage. It seems similar to the way AD&D allowed high-Int creatures to spot invisible opponents, so should we use an ability check or make it a Spot check like you'd do with invisibility?

If we have a check, I'd prefer Spot to an ability check.

Yes, it looks like we need to include immunity to all physical attacks. Seems a bit at odds with usual mechanics, but ok.

I also prefer a Spot check. It seems like it's more about figuring out how to target it rather than a usual miss chance.

They're only 5HD and shouldn't be more than CR 7 max, I'd think. I'd rather bring it down to DC 25 or so.

Wondered about that myself.

It's close enough to "around DC 30" as far as I'm concerned, so I'm game. Or we could split the difference and go for DC 27.

Better see which Shade prefers.
