Sounds like a great game to me, Tom. I'd play that!

The Paladin attempts to chastise the Rogue for taking that coin purse off of the drunk farmer at the end of the bar, and orders him to return it (and apologize). The Rogue refuses, and a fight breaks out between the Paladin and Rogue, eventually leading to the whole bars participation. The Wizard meanwhile, is sitting comfortably in the corner with a bowl of peanuts, enjoying the show...

The slender comely Rogue is accosted inside the bar by a big brutish fellow, and accuses her of theft. The Paladin steps in and orders the fellow to keep his hands to himself, and to explain what his issue is. After hearing both sides of the story (the Rogue is QUITE convincing), the Paladin searches the bar, and his eyes settle on the wise looking wizard, who he calls forth to judge the case...

A paladin, a rogue and a wizard walk into a bar...

...

GO! :D

--SD

The paladin runs in to an old acquaintance who needs help -- something delivered or recovered from a mage tower.

The paladin agrees to help and ends up hiring the wizard to come with him in order to provide magical expertise.

The rogue, overhearing all this, offers his skills for hire as well. Of course, his real reason for coming along is that he has been afflicted by a magical curse and is hoping to find some book/hint of a cure at the mage tower's library. But in true rogue fashion, he'll never tell the other two of this reason and legitimately wants to get paid for his skills to accompany them.

And the bartender says, "You guys can't be back here. Last time, the controller wouldn't take the rack off the billard balls, the striker kept throwing all his darts during other players' turns, and the defender kept moving people to different squares in the football pool."
