Mountain Dew may also be of use in-game...

I always mix 2 parts Holy Water, 1 part apple cider vinegar, 3 parts Coors and 4 parts Mountain Dew. It's good for what ails ya, and bad for who ails ya.

Assuming the who is a basement wererat or a sparkly Vampire.

I personally call bs on their defense since there has been stories about monster drinks with mice in them and those mice never were dissolved. I'm pretty sure a monster drink is more toxic and able to dissolve life forms then a mountain dew.

Damn. Getting out of one lawsuit by admitting your product dissolves flesh? Okaaayy....

I think the only thing that could possibly top this is if somebody sued Philip Morris Marlboro for finding a LIVE rat in a carton of cigarettes and Philip Morris claiming that it was impossible for a live rat to be inside the carton because their product would have caused the rat to get lung cancer and die... B-)

Mountain Dew doesn't kill or dissolve animals, it nourishes them. Take this classic acidborn shark, for instance:

Another article that I read about this same incident stated that the lot number of the Mountain Dew can showed that it was manufactured in 2007, meaning that the mouse would have been in the liquid for two years before the man drank it in 2009. It went into more detail of Pepsico's claim, which basically stated the mouse be a gooey lump (not completely dissolved) and not the solid and recognizable carcass that the defendant claimed to have pulled out.

Assuming the dates can be proven, I am inclined to believe Pepsi. I'd think that even regular water would cause a lot of unsightly damage to a mouse with two years to soak. Also, I've used Coke to clean rust off of metal, so I know how potent soda can be.
