Hello everyone,

I recently produced a podcast focused on women and their presence in the RPG industry. I was lucky enough to chat about it to Tracy Hurley and Margaret Weis (you can listen to it in: http://www.gmsmagazine.com/podcasts/...ans-special-21).

I would like now to produce an episode based around gay writers and game designers, but I don't really know any.

If anyone knows, or if you are, a gay writer, game designer, or working in the industry in some capacity, I would be very grateful if you could let them know so they can contact me.

I can be reached on podcast@gmsmagazine.com

I realise some of you will not like the idea of a podcast with gay people in them. If that is the case, don't worry, I will post in here what the episode is so you don't have to listen to it.

Thanks to everyone who can help!

Paco.

Fantastic! Please post in here when the podcast is up - I'd love to hear it. I'd also be interested in other podcasts along these lines with other groups, possibly youth? I have only played with white heterosexual adult males.... boring

And, without trying to get political or religious or whatever it might be, but for those that would be pained by stumbling upon a podcast with actual gays *talking*, man, I feel sorry for your world view.

And I say that with love. :D

I'm not able to meet your request myself, but I applaud the idea.

If you're not able to find an individual, I'd be willing to speak on a podcast about the importance of inclusion of gay (and minority) individuals in roleplaying games (especially adventures and settings...and in a non-pejorative fashion).

The link in the OP gets a 404.

Is your podcast strictly about the industry, or is it also content? For instance, I came across this thread which is about gay-friendly RPGs (i.e. games that address alt sexuality with NPCs, art, etc).

That thread mentioned Steve Kenson, who is a freelance game designer who created Mutants and Masterminds (among other things). His wiki page says he's married to a guy, so there's that.

Please ask Steve Kenson. He is a great designer and always accesible to the fans of his systems. I would say my single most favorite RPG designer ever.

BTW, he is a freelancer in addition of working for Green Ronin.

Steve Kenson...

Makes me sad to notice that there might well be people complaining because there's no warning that a podcast hosting gay designer speaking about the game.

Not about sexual content in the game, which could maybe be questionable, depending on the detail (and regardless of sexual orientation) the podcast gets into.

But only because the people interviewed are gay...

Ha ha ha... I am not particularly worried about upsetting them.

I just want to avoid the responses that homosexuality produces on some people. :D

Steve has been contacted.

Steve will be interviewed.

And I can't thank you guys enough for your support and the encouragement!

You're the best!
