Yeah Mark's thread is great, good suggestion. Actually Stalker0's post about music for Mechanus is how I found out about the band Erdenstern whose music is so great for gaming. But after scanning that list for "Beastlands" themed thread titles and randomly clicking on several I've got zilch...

Actually I was listening to Deep Forest and it might work for the exploration side of things (I forgot Deep Forest made up a language for their chanting!) but definitely not fights.

And I know nothing of the Beastlands, or I'd make a direct suggestion.
The Beastlands are about primitive feral beauty, nature unbound, and animals living in their natural state (only they can talk and many are somewhat good-aligned). It is an expansive majestic wilderness, the archetype of The Perfect Wilderness, and there is little civilization, everything existing in natural harmony. The ideas of a Circle of Life, "noble savagery", and animal totem guides/spirits are embodied in the Beastlands.

However, the plane inspires a wildness in visitors - animals run wild and mortals undergo primal changes (which can go as extreme as falling into predator-prey thinking, growing a pair of giraffe ears, or casting aside worldly belongings and trappings of civilization to run free in your skivvies).

It's a druid's paradise.

So raising a dead thread to ask about your Beastlands music?

Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough years ago to save the file information for the MP3s I was collecting as background music. I didn't think to keep that info until my players kept asking me, "what song is this". Since I renamed everything according to my D&D game, I didn't have that information. Only about half of my files are saved with the original file info for me to reference.

A lot of my Beastlands music is Native American world music. Also, oddly enough, I found that a lot of Battlestar Gallactica music worked well with the Beastlands theme since a lot of songs have wind instruments and drum beats.

It also just hit me, but I bet the songs to the Avatar: The Last Airbender (cartoon) would be good Beastlands music. I just searched Amazon but couldn't find any soundtracks for that though. Check out youtube for some of that cartoons music to get an idea.

Also, out of curiosity, what kind of scenario are you running in the Beastlands? It's one of my favorite planes.

Then I'd suggest early Tangerine Dream (Atem, Underwater Sunlight), early Vangelis (Soil Festivities), Kodo, Earth, Kronos Quartet, Brian Eno, Death Cube K, Jonas Hellborg, Earth and any of the Bill Laswell dub stuff- esp. with Karsh Kale.

Wow I wouldn't have expected that. You mean the new battle far Galactica right?

Huh never would have though of it. I have the movie soundtrack but that's not Beastlands-y. I was wondering about James Cameron's Avatar though.

Thanks a lot Oryan! :)

PCs are tracking some werewolves and the Wild Hunt (which is on the Beastlands trying to capture Nic'Epona during mating season); the lord of the Wild Hunt has a magic ritual which they're trying to get. So it'll be a bit more influence of fey themes than straight Beastlandsz

Love Brian Eno and Karsh Kale, though the stuff i know if theirs is a bit electronic...but lots of new music to check out! Yah! :) Thanks Danny

For example, here are two that I use as Beastlands music:
