[April] What are you watching?

Haven't seen The Hunger Games yet or Wrath of the Titans, so they are both on the list for this coming week and before the end of the month I would like to see The Hunter, The Raven, and maybe The Three Stooges (if the early reviews don't totally trash it).

For television, it's been thinned down quite a bit but Survivor is my guilty pleasure show plus Grimm and Once Upon a Time still are holding my interest.

Saw "The Hunger Games." It was decent, but it had a ridiculous amount of "shaky cam" that was significantly distracting and didn't add any value.

I don't think it deserves anywhere near the amount of money or rave reviews it keeps getting. I think "John Carter" was a better movie in almost all ways. I'm not saying it's a bad movie (it's not), but it's not the masterpiece that people kept telling me it was.

Been watching Fringe. Tried Supernatural, but it's too teenage emo for my tastes.
No lie, that was my reaction to it at first, too. I was convinced to try again, and it picks up near the end of the first season/beginning of the second. My wife and I became fans after that.

Supernatural is what I've been watching recently. I can relate to what you're saying. Personally, I've enjoyed the show through and through, but I would agree that it takes a few episodes for things to get rolling.

Unfortunately, I'm not currently reading anything. I've hit something of a drought lately. I cannot seem to find a book which engages me. Unless you count rpg books. For some reason I've been hit with the urge to read through the Banestorm book a lot lately.

Still watching my way through "True Blood", now in the third season. It's okay, but distinctly patchy - the stuff with vampire politics is good; the soap opera surrounding Sam's family not so much.

I'm also continuing my re-watching of "Battlestar Galactica" - now nearing the end of the second season. Sadly, this represents the high point of the series. Apart from a few really good parts (such as the big rescue at the start of season three), it's pretty much downhill from here. Oh well.

One episode to go on "Spartacus: Vengeance", and they have a lot of ground to cover. Still, after a slow start, the series has really picked up. Good stuff.

I have half a dozen episodes of "Fringe" waiting for me to find time to watch it, plus almost the entire fourth season of TB. And, finally, "Game of Thrones" starts back tonight, which I will be watching.

Film-wise... I saw "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!" on Friday, which I enjoyed a great deal. Very funny. I don't expect to return to the cinema until the Avengers assemble.

Wife insists on Mirror Mirror. I hope to see Wraith of the Titans.

For TV. Since I am still not allowed back to either job I'll watch game of Thrones season one and a bunch of other collected TV shows I have and had not taken the time to watch.
