[September] What are you watching?

During this late summer, while there are fewer big screen options drawing my attention, I've been using the Amazon Prime streaming option to catch up on Fringe, since they have the first three seasons available.

Fringe (TV Series 2008) - IMDb

Recently picked up the season 4 bluray set of Fringe.

So far watched the first 10 episodes. They seem to be more episodic than serialized. (ie. Monster/phenomena of the week sorta stuff). A bit more like season 1.

After the 12th or 13th episode or so of Fringe's season 4, the show seems to become more and more "serialized", with several story arcs happening simultaneously.

(Blah. I couldn't sleep at all last night, and ended up watching several more episodes).

I watched Mob Doctor. That was not very good.

I've really been enjoying Faceoff. I record it and fast forward through all the silly drama they add and just watch the creation process and the final creatures.

What am I watching? Ugh.. it's getting into the busy time now..

By next week I'll have:
Alphas, Big Bang Theory, Bones, Castle, Dexter, Fringe, Haven, HIMYM, LA Complex(Hush you, it's actually fairly entertaining..and it has Jewel Staite...), Leverage, Revolution(Giving it a few episodes to decide if its worth keeping), Warehouse 13.

Then I've got Nikita, Supernatural, and Walking dead coming in October.

/sigh.
Please don't tell me about any more good shows, I need SOME time for gaming..

I'll only be following season 5 of Fringe.

(I watched all four previous seasons of Fringe on bluray, over this past summer).

I may watch new episodes of Nikita and Hawaii Five-0, thought probably not that closely. (Lately I've been watching reruns of season 1 of Hawaii Five-0 and season 2 of Nikita, but have been getting kinda bored of them).

Hawaii Five-0 seems like it's a 40 minute fast paced "action movie" every week.

Nikita seems like it's a 40 minute "James Bond" style action movie every week.

Whoops guess I have to add Alphas and Nikita.

I find Alphas to be really hit and miss however. Sometimes it feels like it is just meandering around.

Just finished watching the rest of season 4 of Fringe. (I skipped episode 19 from a first viewing, until after I watched the season finale episodes. Episode 19 takes place in the year 2036).

Now that I think about it more, season 4 of Fringe is almost literally like a "mini reboot" of the show. A lot of the plot build up and character investment over the first three seasons, is literally thrown out the window.

From the online spoilers revealed so far, it sounds like season 5 is like another "mini reboot" too.

Though I suppose that in any story which involves time travel, parallel dimensions, etc ..., it's easy to do a reboot by just going to an alternate "universe" or time period.
