WotC PDF??? So Morrus Tweeted this

Of note in this interview with Steve Wieck: http://www.examiner.com/article/dungeons-dragons-returns-to-pdf-with-dndclassics-com

* Wizards let us know that they had already collected hundreds upon hundreds of classic titles and had them all re-digitized at high resolution. Wizards had not been idle on the digital product front.

* All of the files are DRM-free and can be easily used on any device that reads PDFs. The files are watermarked and customers should use common sense about respecting copyright by not sharing files.

* Customers who previously purchased Wizards titles at DriveThruRPG or RPGNow should know that as those titles are re-released, they can check their Library page on DriveThruRPG to get downloads of the new and improved files. Wizards has asked us to make sure that all previous DriveThruRPG and RPGNow purchasers get the updated files for free!

I'm astonished - this is much more than I expected. :)

Cheers!

Any chance of these being sold someplace that's not RPGNow? I'm unable to download from them, their water marking process goes into an infinite loop no matter what browser or computer I use. Something about my ISP, apparently.

No, because the article MerricB linked to above makes it clear that the core rules for each edition are forthcoming, starting with 1e MM and DMG.
Where are you seeing that? That article lists the Monster Manual II and Dungeon Survival Guide as upcoming releases but doesn't seem to mention the MM or DMG.

Good to see they're bringing this stuff back. And I'm going to have to remember to grab that copy of B1. I certainly hope the red prices remain permanent for the pre-3e stuff.

I note with amusment that one of the items is N2, The Forest Oracle. I think I'll skip that one. :)
