" lets get started then" he says and somehow you feel you have been bambolozed :)
Calling to his staff he startz barking out orders and soon the entire holding is on an uproar. I will have it delivered in two days will you be going with it

OOC: Bamboozled as in he was playing coy that he could pull it off, or bamboozled as in by signing I am somehow culpable?

"Excellent my King, and thank you. Now I do have one last request for you, a boon to ask of you. My great-grandfather's sword lies in the royal vault. It was placed there by your grandfather after the Giant's War, just before we became a vassal state. I would ask of you O' mighty Halfdan, that I be allowed to bear the sword of Fafnir to the south. That I am able to claim the sword of my ancestors. You have many other, more powerful swords in your vaults. I know the sword at your hip now is a masterpiece of our skills. I wish to take the Iceblade with me, I wish to have a part of my homeland, my ancestors with me. Such a token would not impoverish you. On the contrary it would show those southerners what feats of smithing we can create. And think what the other lords of the south would think of you. That Halfdan the Great is so rich and powerful, that he can send his men off to serve with weapons such as this, why he much have the largest vault and armory in the northlands!"

Sigvald waits until he has left the castle before smiling. He removes the first warrant and looks at it. He was prepared to use it to acquire his great-grandfather's sword. It is a sword of great power it is said. The King kept it for his own after the Giant's War. It wasn't known why it was never used. A seer once told him only one of Fafnir's line could wield it, perhaps that was why. The sword was legendary in the war, great deeds were attached to it, of course his great-grandfather was a mighty warrior as well, but together, well they turned the tide against the Giants.

In any case, he still had his warrant. And after a sword, one thing defined a Viking, his armor. Sigvald mounted his horse and rode to the village of Jarlsvalg. There resided the best armorer in the entire Kingdom of Njora, Erik Ironhand. Sigvald arrived at his shop and strode in. Erik was starting to gray around the temples, but his large chest and arms were still strong. "Greetings Erik, how are you today" he called out to the smith.

"As you no doubt have heard Erik, I have been selected to head south and serve the High King. I am looking for some armor, to not only protect me, but also to show what excellent craftsmanship we have here in Njora. Can you help me out with armor that will do both?"

Such work would take time and be expensive.. What did you have in mind

"Ah well there is the rub. I know you like a challenge Erik. And you are the finest smith in all the north. What can you do in two days?" Sigvald pauses as the smith's face jerks at the impossible time frame. "But what if cost was not an issue? What if any price would do, so long as it was in two days? That my friend is a feat the skalds will sing of for generations" says Sigvald with a smile.
