This is based on the final playtest packet (which is an indicator of the PHB options)--not whatever you imagine the basic set will be.

For me, it's still just a bit too complex. Even core Fighter features like Second Wind, Action Surge, and Fighting Style can be too much for my newbie players to remember (they just want to hit stuff).

The way I look at it the character-based rules (classes and such) are way too complex, and the system rules aren't complex enough. Which to me ends up being a little too complex on the whole.

I think the universal advantage/disadvantage rules are really holding things back, so my vote is that the game is a bit too simple. There are other areas, mostly some class abilities, that seem a bit too fiddly and could stand to be simplified.

I voted, "a bit too simple," but that should be interpreted as, "I'm looking forward to seeing future rules modules."

I'd prefer if they removed powers and checks from the game. But as it stands the last playtest document isn't that difficult to play. It's still far too much in front of the screen IMO.

The poll doesn't really make much sense as the rules packet isn't the least complex version possible nor the most complex version possible.
