Indeed. You can start right in the PHBI with the fighter power that allows them to do triple (or 3[W], or whatever) damage once a day. In every relevant sense, this is a magical ability. In a previous edition, it would have been referred to as a smite attack and been given appropriate mechanical descriptors. In 4e, it's a martial power. In no edition is that not a magical action.

Those are Batman's superpowers... what I wouldn't do is call them magic, even non-traditional magic. Unless of course they were.

Well when the creator(s) and/or writers make it canon that his powers are magic of the traditional or "non-traditional" sort... then batman will be using magic, until then he's not using magic regardless of claims to the contrary by bat-haters.

In the context of MnM some/all of his abilities are defined as superpowers (in the same way in 4e martial power source is defined as magic)... MnM was brought up in the context of that particular post right? Later we switched gears to fans and comic books.

I see what you mean, in the context of the 4e world martial is just another kid of magic, it's not bad, just how the world works. I can get behind that.
