Once every couple of months, but when we game the players come from around the countery and stay over for the weekend or the full day. So, we get a fair bit of gaming time, but not in small, regular chunks.

Almost daily in my teens,
Weekly in my 20's,
Monthly up to mid 30's,
Sadly, now I'm in my early 40's I can't even say yearly as its up to half a decade since I last actually played! Still enjoy reading the old books though.

About once a month; I'm playing in a Pathfinder game.

I kinda lost my DMing mojo about four years ago; and as far as playing I am doing it really to pay back former players who endured my games, and for the fellowship/friendship moreso than the actual gaming.

You aren't half way to dead yet, no reason to give up on an awesome hobby! ;)

I am playing every thursday from 1900-2300, or more like 2000-2230 since we end up just talking about random stuff for the rest of the time. I have started DM-ing about once a month as well, but those sessions are usually much longer and includes a dinner break.

We usually played friday and saturday every forthnight, but it got more and more difficult to get the group together on weekends, so we moved the game day to a thuesday or thursday.

It's actually amusing, but I probably game more now (I am 36) than I did when I was a teenager. Probably because the people I game with have cars and we have a place to play now unlike earlier.

But..but...but...the website is named after you! You have to have some deep dark desire to DM, still buried in there somewhere.

For some reason, that makes me feel sad.

I play in a weekly Scion game right now which in the past year has transitioned from Exalted to L5R to Scion. Earlier this year I also played in 2 AD&D games, and ran a narrative hack of Legend (Mongoose RuneQuest). I had to bring my gaming schedule down due to school concerns, but right now I'm in the planning stages of a Blood and Smoke game.

I realise that this is a pretty small voting sample, but, about a solid third of people responding are playing every two weeks or less. What I wonder is if this holds true for the larger gaming public, and, if it does, how has this changed over time?

I know that that information is likely never going to appear, but, it would be interesting. I really believe, and it's mostly a gut feeling, that people play less often now than they did in, say, the 80's. And I also think that this reduction in play time has a very significant effect on how the game is designed.

It's probably true that people who were playing in the 80s are playing less now than they were then.
