Dwimmermount PDF 1st Draft -- Its Happening!

Just a quick note to say that Dwimmermount -- the long awaited is drawing closer and closer to completion.

Received an email yesterday with a link to the 1st draft of the completed PDF. Very nice! Its written for Labyrinth Lord but looks to be easily adaptable to any flavour of D&D. What a beautiful present just in time for the upcoming release of the new D&D. I can't wait -- just shy of 400 pages of Megadungeon goodness.

Castle of the Mad Archmage
The Emerald Spire
Barrowmaze I & II
Rappan Athuk
Slumbering TSAR
Aufstrag (at least the first five of 21 levels)
Stonehell
and now at last Dwimmermount

Its a great time for Megadungeons! Thanks James and thanks Autarch!

Thanks James and thanks Autarch!

Sorry, but no. James does not deserve a "Thanks!" for what he did. When he apologizes to the community (and, to be fair, he may have but I haven't seen it), then I grant him acknowledgement.

I will give thanks and credit to Tavis and the rest of the guys at Autarch for making good on James's promises.

Where will it be sold?

It was a Kickstarter. I am not sure if Autarch will be selling it. You'll need to check with them.

Any more beans to spill on the content? Weird SF-fantasy crossover...for example.

It's an old-school 13 level megadungeon with a small town outside. You can read more from the kickstarter page.

My guess is the only thing that would keep Autarch from selling it is whatever rights James had/has to it. It was his baby, and he got caught up in life and handed it off to Autarch.

Thaumaturge.

Of course they'll sell it at Drive-Thru. Autarch had to pick up a lot of slack to make up for James with no extra compensation. To do all that work and then just give it to KS backers would be odd.

Edit: Good point about the rights, but even then, if they want to sell it and need to offer some of the profit to James, I don't see how he'd that turn down.

The last word on this, was that Mr. Maliszewski agreed to releasing Dwimmermount as an OGL product, once all was said and done. I don't know if that is still the plan.
