D&D 5E So Who Else is Excited?

I'm cautiously optimistic. I still feel like I don't know enough about this new edition to really know if it's going to be something I'm willing to try for more than a one-shot. When 3E was coming, the Dragon magazine articles were great at telling me how the game was changing and worked well to stoke my enthusiasm. The information over the Internet for the forthcoming 4E did a good job of putting me off that edition, and I ended up not liking it at all. I want to be optimistic that maybe this edition will be something I can work with and really have fun, but I'm just not getting a strong sense of that.

Still, I've ordered the Starter Set and will download the Basic game as soon as I can. I want to give the game a fair shake.

I'm very excited about 5e and I have high hopes for it. I don't ask for a perfect game rules-wise, but I'm banking a lot on the fluff.

My excitement exceeds my budget at the moment. Being broke and unemployed I shall have to content myself with the Basic PDF...however, the fact that the Basic PDF is free and contains almost everything I'll need out of the gate, with more coming later, is something to be excited about regardless of anything else.

I'm not so much "excite" as I am "intrigue". I'm looking forward to reading the rules, but that's about where it ends for me.
