I added a quick note on the Facebook ad will add here as well.
*disclaimer: I have not used any of your apps before.*
These are presented in roughly the order I encountered them.
- Some of the icons were not clear as to what they were for, maybe add hover text?
- I started a quick combat with the supplied characters and one had no weapon, but I figured out how to add one.
- I like the color overlay on the goblins for when they are dead. I did not see overlays for any conditions though (slowed, stunned, blind, etc).
- Possibly have the dead monsters removed from the initiative so that you don't have to scroll past them?
- Initially it was not clear how to start the next round of combat.
- Color or icon overlay on PC's for health/status/conditions could be good, especially as one of the goblins critted the wizard and knocked him unconscious.
- Method of typing in players' dice rolls?
- Did not see a method for awarding XP at the end of the combat.
- Saw a method for importing a adventure (although it did not work with the supplied file) and a method for creating a new adventure but not a method for exporting.
- I'd be interested in being able to move things around. eg: have the initiative tracker on the left side rather than along the top.

Overall, looks good.

Since we are build for mobile tablets we didn't add tool tips, but once the documentation is done this will help. We will look into adding tool tips or some sort of help overlay.

I like the color overlay on the goblins for when they are dead. I did not see overlays for any conditions though (slowed, stunned, blind, etc).

We will come up with some way to make this available "at a glance". You can now tap any player or monster in the list to view its stats/conditions.

Possibly have the dead monsters removed from the initiative so that you don't have to scroll past them?

This is always tricky, what if you want a monster to come back alive or do something on its next turn, We leave it up to the user to determine what to do. We can however add an option to remove him from the combat at the users discretion so it wont get in the way.

- Initially it was not clear how to start the next round of combat.

Probably best answered in documentation or help overlay.

Color or icon overlay on PC's for health/status/conditions could be good, especially as one of the goblins critted the wizard and knocked him unconscious.

Added to roadmap.

Method of typing in players' dice rolls?
Already on the roadmap, coming very soon!

Did not see a method for awarding XP at the end of the combat.
on the roadmap - Coming soon!

Saw a method for importing a adventure (although it did not work with the supplied file) and a method for creating a new adventure but not a method for exporting.
Dropbox integration is not implemented yet, although the buttons are there, coming soon!

Hmm interesting, we maybe able to do something with this after release. Our 4E and Pathfinder apps are more like that but we wanted this to have a different look and feel, more like your playing a game and less like your a data entry clerk.

Overall, looks good.
Thanks!

Great feedback! that you for taking the time to give the app a go!

0.4 Update

New Beta build with the following changes is now available:

1) added splash screen to start up
2) Can now Manually set Hit/Damage rolls on attacks

Please take this the way it's meant: I'm kinda surprised I got a reply.
I didn't get to spend a lot of time with it some I may just be missing some of this stuff but, after I had to log off this morning, I thought of a few others: I did not see a way to import pieces (EG: monsters, PC's, traps, etc) and I did not see a way to export. Also, I did not see a way to add or change character portraits.
Are you envisioning this for PC, mobile or both? If both, it'd be interesting to be able to have a player client app be able to join the local DM "Server" and "cast" info back and forth (eg: player uses their mobile app to roll their dice, that info is passed to the DM "server app" and the DM can apply it where appropriate. Then the DM uses their "server app" to roll dice and pass that info back to the player. I know Artemis does something like this so it should be doable. I don't know if I would use it if it existed as it's a little "video-gamey" for me but it could be interesting and allow other things.

mips42, importing and exporting adventure files via dropbox will be comming soon. As for the other pieces, all basic monsters from the starter kit are baked into the app so at this point I'm not sure where we would import from. All images are done via a URL and can be changed by pressing the edit button on either a player or monster. The app currently is built for mobile, in the past we have a mobile and desktop clients. A Player app is in the works and it will have all the syncing capabilities with the DM app, but we also want the apps to run connected, standalone, or mixed mode.
