D&D 5E Starter Set Character Sheets

Thaumaturge

Wandering. Not lost. (He/they)
They finally released them as a pdf here. I'll be using them this weekend or next, too, so I'm glad they got around to it.

This is a god send for those of us that run games at cons. Thanks for this. Thurmaturge you are like my personal news caddy haha.

1)awesome!

2) these all seem to say in their level up section to get another hit die with each level up. I though the rules were HD = half level.... Or am I just remembering wrong? / these characters are given an exception to simplify?

You get 1 Hit Die (short rest healing mechanism) per level. You get 1dX or X/2+1 + CON bonus + any other bonuses max hit points each time you level up.

You recover half your total hit dice per long rest.

Did that answer your question?

Woohoo finally :D

Now I can read something before my Starter Set arrives at the end of next week.
I'll also point my new players to these and ask them to make a top 3 of characters they would like to play and one they wouldn't like at all.
I'm going to make a short overview of each one though to make sure they aren't overwhelmed :)

That way I can hopefully assign a suitable character to all 5 newbie players.

Thanks! I was confusing the HD recovery rule with the HD gain rule.

I think these character sheets should be updated with at least important statistics on the Cleric and Wizard spells. I tried to look each spell up for the players but I am tired.
