Yeah but having the devs put it in the stat block means players have less room to grumble about it when the attack is way better than just a mere scaled up thrown rock.I don't see anything in the D&D rules saying a monster with appropriate appendages can't pick up a boulder and throw it...and that sort of improvisation is certainly encouraged in 5e
Well, now I know what my tarrasque will do against flying foes.
