Where do you game?

Do you game at a public space, (i.e. game store, school, community center) or a private space like a home? My group currently games at a local comic shop, however, I am trying to get them to move either the place or time. It's simply hard to hear over the 10+ tables of Yugi-oh card players they host at the same time.

I really dislike to play in public spaces. I like my games to be something more intimate, more between friends, and I dislike loud noises of other people that have nothing to do with what I'm doing. The 3 campaigns I'm DMing are at my place. The one I'm playing too.

...I've always wanted to buy or rent out a personal office, and use it...for gaming with buddies.

Yes. We play at a house. It's cool now because the homeowner is unmarried with no children, no resident pets, and a significant other out of town; but it's still not my game office. :)

Howdy-

Our group meets up in the most central location which is one of the players house's. But once a month we do a club meet up at a bar/ grill type place. This club not only encompasses our group, but many others that play various versions of D&D. I do agree that playing in public can be a noisy affair but I dont mind too much plus I am supporting something cool, a greater gathering of D&D'ers from around the area.

We play at our house. Our childrean are used to being sent from the living room on game nights since being pretty young, and my wife plays with us.

Sometimes we change to an different player's house when he has to stay there because of his children, but this happens maybe two or three times per year.

I never played in a public place other than singular games and would not be willing to have a real campaign in such a location.

In my house. One of the upstairs bedrooms has been turned into a gaming room just for that purpose. I have bookshelves with RPGs and minis, a mini-fridge for drinks, a Keurig for coffee, and, of course, my table.

We meet at my house, since 3 of the six players live there. In my old house we had a devoted game room, but here we play on the dining table.

I've played in a shop setting many times. The best was a converted house where we had what had been a bedroom with a massive table in it. Noise is always a problem in big open rooms, and I wont do that for long. But it is a good place to go recruit new players.
